Journey to Center of the Earth 2 Movie

New Line Cinema and Walden Media are planning a movie sequel to Journey to the Center of the Earth. Director Brad Peyton has been indeed hired to helm the project. The movie Journey to the Center of the Earth 2 should be released in 2011.

The first film was starring Brendan Fraser and Josh Hutcherson. But apparently Actor Brendan Fraser won't be on board of the sequel (according to the rumor, he doesn't appreciate to see the film's previous director Eric Brevig to be left out...). So the story of Journey to the Center of the Earth 2 is likely to center on the young Josh Hutcherson (who's now 18 yo). That's not set in stone though, so there's still some hope to see Brendan Fraser reprising his role along Josh Hutcherson.

Anyway, even if Brendan Fraser keeps sulking, I'm sure that Journey to Center of the Earth 2 will be a damn entertaining 3D ride as full of action and adventure as the first film!
